Rolling (but not yet grinding)

October 26th, 2007 by Zach Caldwell · No Comments

NewShop.jpgThe shop is coming together. Work benches are installed, the flex tester and computer have a table, I’ve plumbed air lines and wired in three-phase power. I still have to put the grinder into it’s final position (just to the right of where I stood to take the picture), but I’m waiting for contractors to finish some work (see the unfinished ceiling?) before I do that. In the meantime, I’ve got a huge pile of skis to evaluate and do the handwork on, and I’m happily cranking away at it.

Important note to US customers: if you’re shipping skis from the US please use USPS Parcel Post and declare the contents as a “gift” with value of around $100. The major couriers generally charge very high brokerage fees for clearing customs and I will either have to refuse shipment, or pass these fees along to you. I’m working on a “better” solution to this, but for now the postal service is the best deal going.

Team Shipments from the US: Call me for details on team shipments. We can simplify things.
