If your shipment is not time sensitive it is important to use US Postal Service.. State clearly on the customs form that “The skis are being imported for evaluation, repair and return, not for sale or redistribution inside Canada.” If it is necessary to expedite your shipment use UPS express. There are no brokerage fees on express shipments and you will save money by using an express shipment. I have refused a number of standard ground deliveries with COD brokerage fees over $200. Declare the full value of the package for insurance reasons, but state clearly that the items are not subject to duty because they are not being imported for sale or redistribution inside Canada, and will be returned to the US.
