Caldwell Sport specializes in cross country race skis, wax, and service. We carry a curated selection of the best material available for racers and performance oriented recreational skiers. While we do a lot of work for elite-level athletes, we find that our services are equally well appreciated by skiers at all levels.
XC is a hard sport. We believe in lowering barriers and helping skiers to establish a positive feedback loop in their personal development.
Caldwell Sport is not a full-service ski shop! We operate by appointment, and only provide premium products and services. However, we also own and operate the West Hill Shop right down the road here in Putney – a full service bike and ski shop, and the place where you’re most likely to catch Amy or Zach on any given day.
Zach Caldwell founded Caldwell Sport as a mobile stonegrinding service in 2002, and has been doing more or less the same thing since then, but getting a lot better at it. Amy joined Zach at Caldwell Sport in 2011, after fourteen years of coaching at Stratton Mountain School, and the Callaghan Valley Training Center in Whistler.
